How To Delete Old Emails In Gmail In Bulk – Delete Multiple Emails At Once
How to delete gmail messages in bulk
When I have a lot of emails to delete, like more than 50, then I need to delete them one by one. Is there any way for me to erase all of them at once?
Yes, it is possible to delete more than 50 emails simultaneously in Gmail. However, before doing that you should check the size of your mailbox. If it becomes larger than 4GB in size, you can only delete 25 emails at a time but the limit is 100 emails. When your Protonmail account’s mailbox exceeds 4GB, you’ll be able to delete 50 emails at a time.
Here are two ways for deleting more than 50 emails regularly:
Method 1. Batch Delete Emails via Settings Panel
Step 1: Go to “Settings” > “Labels”. Click on the “Show Label Options” button located in the row of labels and then select all labels that contain email messages you want to erase simultaneously and click on “Delete Labels”.
Step 2: Now go back and click on the gear icon located in the top right corner of the Gmail page. Choose “Settings” please and then move on to the “Labs” tab. Find out the “Batch Delete in Search Box” function and activate it, so that you can delete more than 50 emails simultaneously via the search box in the future.
Method 2: Batch Delete Emails from Inbox
Step 1: Click on email(s) messages you want to erase at a time, way too many of them, and then choose one of the following three ways to select multiple emails with ease:
Click on the check circle located in the bottom right corner of your computer screen. When clicking on it, a menu will pop up as shown below, allowing you to select all emails in this folder or inbox by checking off the box on the left side. Clicking on the check circle will select all emails in your Gmail account at once.
to select all emails in this folder or inbox by checking off the box on the left side. Clicking on the check circle will select all emails in your Gmail account at once. Use keyboard shortcut command “Ctrl + A” to go through all fields and click into each email you want to remove and then hold the “Shift” key down, clicking one time for every selected email until you’ve selected as many messages as you wish to trash simultaneously. The same method works with other buttons of your computer’s keyboard too, like for instance Ctrl + Shift + A allows selecting multiple messages with different keyboard shortcuts in a short time.
Select the checkbox next to each message in the list. If you have more messages than are shown on the current page, click on the link Select all ….. conversations… that appears beneath it. To delete all mails, hit the garbage bin button.
You can also search for emails that have been less than a year old. If you enter older_than:1y, you’ll come across email dated more than a year ago. You may use m or d to indicate months or days, respectively. Click the Check all checkbox after that, then click “Select all discussions that match this search,” followed by the Delete button to delete them all at once.
If your Gmail inbox is getting too full, try using the “Inbox from 1 month ago” trick from above to get everything out of there. If you’re looking to delete thousands of emails at once, that strategy won’t work.
In Windows Live Mail, you may quickly erase your emails by adjusting your account. You can then go to your Inbox, press Ctrl + A, and hit the delete button to remove all of your emails after they’ve been set up.
Under the Trash section, select all by clicking the “select all” box at the top of the message list, then click on All conversations. After that, delete Gmail spam.
Delete all of your e-mails from your inbox by going to the settings page, then down to “Number of messages per page,” and changing it to “No limit.” Then hit “Save” at the top and then OK when prompted to refresh your browser. Check the box next to “Sender” in your inbox, then select delete.
Go to Gmail on your computer. Select all emails in the top left corner. If you have more than one page of messages, choose them all. Delete is at the top of the page; click it.
Select the gear icon. Select Settings from the drop-down menu next to Conversations per page. Locate Maximum page size under General. Choose the number of emails you want to display from the drop-down menu next to Conversations per page. At the bottom of the screen, click Save Changes.
