Start by opening the Settings app on your Android device. Tap on the Bluetooth option and switch it on. Your device will then begin searching for nearby Bluetooth devices. Make sure your JoyCons are ready to pair.
Take your JoyCons and ensure they are not currently connected to any other device. To put a JoyCon into pairing mode, press and hold the small circular button located on the rail until the LED indicators start flashing. If your JoyCons are already linked to a Switch console, you may need to reset their Bluetooth connection first.
Within your Android’s Bluetooth settings, look for “Joy-Con” or a similar name in the list of available devices. If both JoyCons appear separately, you’ll need to pair each one individually by tapping on their respective names. Once selected, your Android device will attempt to establish the connection.
Your Android will try to connect to the JoyCons. When successful, the LED indicators on the controllers will change to a solid color, indicating they are paired. You might see a confirmation message on your screen confirming the pairing.
Test the connection by opening a game or app that supports Bluetooth controllers. Move the controllers or press buttons to confirm input recognition. If they do not respond, try disconnecting and repeating the process or restarting your device for a better connection.
