How to Delete Books from Audible Library
How to Remove Purchased Books from Audible Wish List
If you purchase an audiobook from Audible, it is yours to keep forever and can be downloaded across multiple devices. Once you cancel your Audible membership, the account remains active.
I want to delete a book I had previously purchased. When I go into iBooks and select the book that I want to delete, it is still there!
You can still listen to audiobooks you’ve purchased even after canceling your membership, but if you have remaining credits left when canceling your membership, those will be lost.
Yes! The Audible Cloud Player remembers what content has been downloaded for as long as it is supported by us; this means that even if a title is deleted from the library of an Audible app, listeners will remain able to download these titles until the period of support ends. After which, they can delete these titles from their Library List (from Perform A->Library List). Note that not all devices support downloading as they do not feature the Audible app. We recommend checking here for more information on how to download titles onto different devices (http://www.audible.com/help).
We will continue to support these deletions as long as they are supported by us, which means up until our license expires with the publishers or other arrangements end in place with rights holders; you’ll be notified of changes in terms and be given a chance to remove them yourself if you want, but otherwise, we hope that listeners don’t have too much attachment to these ‘deleted’ books!
Generally, you should be able to see the changes almost instantly if they occurred in your Library List (Perform A->Library List) or on a device, however, there may be some cases where they appear after syncing up with the cloud (this can usually take up to 24 hours). In other words, if you deleted something off one device and don’t see anything change for a while, bear with us! More information on syncing with the cloud is available here (http://www.audible.com/help).
In your Library List (Perform A->Library List), long press on a title and tap Delete. Again, this will not remove it from Audible-supported devices or deregister you as an owner, but if you want to remove it from there too, go for it! If you have any questions about that, head over to http://www.audible.com/help for more information on how that works and how to deregister books/audiobooks if you need help with that.
