- Open the Google app on your phone and select Menu -> Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Phone. Locate the “Contacts” tab and uncheck the box next to “Google Contacts.”

Open your Settings menu on your Android phone or tablet. Select Google Settings for Google apps Sync Status. Set the Auto-Sync option to OFF.
Set up your Exchange account. Go to Settings > Accounts > Exchange and (Your account). Contacts synchronization should be disabled. Return to Settings > Apps.
