How To Delete All Photos From Google Photos
A new button will appear in Google Photos’ settings page on Android today, allowing users to “Free Up Space.” Tapping it will erase all local photos that have previously been backed up by the app. Google Photos will also be able to remove copies saved on SD cards on some Android smartphones.
Open the Google Photos app on your Android phone or tablet. Select one or more photos from the device. Tap the “3 dots” menu icon in the top right corner. Pick Delete Device Copy from the drop-down menu that appears.
In Google Photos in your browser, click the circle at the top left of the first picture you wish to delete. If there’s a batch sequence you’d want to remove, Shift and click the circle at the top left of the final photo in the sequence; all images will be highlighted. Then choose Delete from your menu bar.
Delete multiple photos in batches by selecting the, for example, “Music” option first (newest), then scrolled to the bottom of the range you wish to delete, pressing Shift while holding down the cursor, and clicking the last one. Then choose Garbage can. Keep in mind that Garbage Can deletes images on all synced devices and in the cloud).
Yes, Google Photos is private by default. You can only see the things you upload. And thankfully, the only way to modify a photo’s permissions is to log in to your account and share it with another person.
