How To Reset Plenty of Fish Password – Forgot PoF Password
Should you forget your password, click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login page. You will then be asked to enter your registered email address and a new one will be sent to you immediately. Once received, use this new password to log in again.
Do I need my username when resetting my password?
No – if you have forgotten your password we will attempt to retrieve it using only your registered email address. This is because many people use online sites for casual relationships which can become uncomfortable should the other party discover they are part of an online survey; therefore we do not require any personal details other than your email address as we never share these. You may wish however to delete cookies from any browsers you use and reboot your computer before attempting to reset your password, as failure to do so could result in you accidentally logging into the site using the wrong email ad

Why does my profile keep disappearing?
Your account will be automatically deleted if no one logged on for over 30 days. This is because we only carry details from active users and retain these on our database for up to a year, after which they are permanently erased. If you have recently used POF yet can’t log in, try again – it’s possible that another member with the same name has logged in from a different location/computer using their exact username and an alternative email address. Your account may also have been deleted by us due to suspicious activity (eg. someone trying to log in as you) or for a breach of our terms and conditions (eg. posting offensive images).
Why can’t I login?
If you have forgotten your email address, contact us using the ‘Report Problem’ link on any page with an @po.st link and we will attempt to retrieve it for you; however, this may involve you calling us from the phone number originally used to register; if so please include this too. If you are unsure whether your POF profile has been deleted by us, try contacting Customer Support using the same method – they will be able to confirm its status within 48 hours.
What happens if my account has been deleted?
Your username is available again straight away and we will send a confirmation email to your old address with instructions on how to claim it back. If however the username has been deleted by us for breach of terms, you can still create an account using the ‘Create Account’ link but may not use this name in any way – if you do so it will be suspended and all images/messages attached to that username permanently removed.
How do I add a picture?
You can either upload one from your computer or choose one from Facebook or LinkedIn by clicking on your profile image and scrolling down through the options displayed underneath. Alternatively, if you already have an uploaded photo in our database that is not linked to your account (eg. you forgot to log out before browsing other sites), you can choose this option from the ‘Change Profile Picture’ section and it will be added immediately.
Can I edit my profile?
Yes – click on your username then select ‘Edit Details’. This allows you to change your name, age, and city (if necessary) or even delete your account should you wish. If not logged in, just enter the email address registered with POF and we will send a confirmation link directly to that address with instructions on how to log back in again. We strongly recommend using either Google Chrome or Firefox when doing this as some other browsers do not allow us sufficient access to perform these functions.
What is The Gallery?
The Gallery is a new interactive area of POF where you can see other users’ pictures and message them on the spot. Simply click on ‘Gallery’ from your menu bar to visit, where you will be able to sort through profiles using a range of search tools or create your own gallery by uploading images and sending invites directly to people you fancy meeting up with.
Why is my profile not listed in The Gallery?
To list your profile within the Gallery, simply go to your account settings then select ‘Photo Settings’. Here there are two options for how we display photos: AUTO-ADJUSTED or FIXED. The first option allows us to automatically crop or resize any uploaded image for best visibility whereas if selected the second will retain images at their original size but may require scrolling (click on the image then use your arrow keys to scroll left/right).
If you have not chosen either option, we will simply display all images within your profile using the first method. If unsure which one to select, try both then choose whichever looks best as this is unlikely to affect how you view other user profiles.
Why do I appear in other users’ galleries but they don’t appear in mine?
This happens when another member selects ‘No Photos Allowed’ from their photo settings – if this option has been selected for your gallery then only those with no photos can see it (ie. based on the principle of reciprocity: they are seeing what they cannot see themselves and vice versa). Alternatively, if no one has listed their gallery then it will not be visible in The Gallery as this is not a public area.
What are Superlikes?
Super likes are special lighters that appear next to your profile when another member views it and indicates they really like you. There is no limit on how many Superlikes someone can give out but each user may only receive one per day. If however, all three lighters have appeared, other users may still send a message so feel free to do so!
How do I remove or block/report users from my inbox/Gallery?
With recent updates, we have removed the option to report inappropriate comments left on your profile so any unwanted messages should now be marked as spam within The Gallery. If you are a paying subscriber then you can also block individuals from sending future messages to your inbox by visiting your account settings and choosing ‘Messaging Settings’. You should see any blocked users with an asterisk next to their names so please remember to save the changes!
What is included within my POF Premium subscription?
Our single, 1-month, or 12-month premium subscriptions all include access to The Gallery where we interactively display other members’ photos and allow instant messaging based on individual profile ratings. Along with this, paid members to have unlimited Superlikes available (ten per day if not subscribed) as well as Passport which allows us to show accurate location data for anyone logged in via Facebook or Google+. We hope to add even more features in the future to keep your POF experience fresh and exciting.
How do I search The Gallery?
You can use a specific keyword (as it appears above) or start typing one to find a member you know, such as their username or location then click on their profile name to view other photos. If unsure of spelling try ‘wildcard’ searches like ‘Isl*’ – we will show all members whose names contain Islay e.g. Islands, Isle, Isles, etc… We also allow searching based on a combination of factors including age, ‘activity’, comment, distance, and mutual friends so try combining keywords like ‘male 26 lives near me likes whisky’. You may also visit our home page for more advanced search options.
