No, there is no charge for booking tickets through Chilika Smart Card holder internet banking portal or ‘mPassbook’ app. It is free of cost facility and service will be available 24×7.
Are there any charges levied on refund?
Compliance norms/guidelines issued by IRCTC would be followed while processing request of refund in case of cancellation /no-show etc. In case the online payment channel is used to make the refund, then a fee equivalent to that paid with respect to original transaction (such as current PayPal rate) shall be deducted from the amount to be refunded by ICICI Bank which shall bear such cost internally without any additional cost being passed onto the merchant / customer. Customers can take the refund amount in their bank account through NEFT / RTGS/ IMPS or can opt to get it credited back into Chilika Smart Card.

How does ICICI Bank follow RBI guidelines in case of refunds?
Refunds are processed as per the due date mentioned on ticket, which can be viewed using customer ID and password at internet banking portal or ‘mPassbook’ app. Cashless transactions are allowed only if the adjustment is made between different stations within 30 days from the date of original booking (as per tickets). In cases where refund amount is greater than Rs 2,000/- then refund request shall be made through Non-Cash mode.
How can I validate my ticket before booking?
You can check out your Chilika Smart Card balance from internet banking portal and ‘mPassbook’ app on login using customer ID and password. New customers will have to recharge their card account after purchase of card by online payment transaction using any one of the payment channels depending upon your convenience. You can also check validity of ticket before reserving a seat in train by entering passenger name, class type (Economy / Business) and journey details such as departure time etc in input fields provided on next page including password relating to selected train service. This was a new feature introduced recently for our customers so as to provide them more clarity regarding validity of ticket before performing the transaction

Yes, you can perform offline check-in for your journey through internet banking portal and ‘mPassbook’ app using customer ID and password. Log into account using customer ID and password as applicable. Select particular train service, date of journey followed by entering passenger name, class type (Economy) and journey details such as departure time etc in input fields provided on next page including password relating to selected train service. Before proceeding further make sure that:
1) Personal information indicated up till now is correct as once tickets are generated they cannot be modified due to technical reasons
2) No other user is on line or there are no pending transaction for the selected train service
3) If this is your first internet banking session, then customer ID and password should be created and allotted by your branch manager after completion of KYC formalities. For subsequent transactions you can use same ID and Password.
What will happen if any passenger fails to check-in (board) the train when it departs from originating station?
In case of non-completion of journey due to some reasons like cancellation/no-show etc., refunds shall be made only at origin stations where passengers have boarded for their journeys in terms of rule 22(1)(c) read with rule 25(2)(c) of the General Terms and Conditions for Advance Reservation Period Tickets.
