Happn is an app that matches you with people nearby. If you’re interested in someone, just tap on their profile to start a conversation. You can also “heart” them if they are your type but not quite right for you – this way Happn learns what you like and makes future suggestions more accurate.
Happn shows you singles with whom you’ve crossed paths. When these two people match, we let them know by sending a push notification to both phones and they can swipe each other left or right depending on whether they like the look of that person or not. If the feeling is mutual, then it’s a match and you can strike up a conversation with your crush!
What if you cross paths with someone from Happn again: As soon as this happens, send the person a smile, which will trigger their push notification saying “You’ve been spotted”. By tapping on this notification within 48 hours, your potential date will be able to see your profile. You can help them get in touch with you by sending a smile back!
What if you’re interested in someone that hasn’t been out and about lately: You can tell Happn to let you know the next time they come back onto the app by tapping on their profile and marking them as your “Favorite”. (You can switch this option off at any time.) This way we will make sure to notify you when they return. Finally, don’t forget: it’s up to you to decide who is worth starting a conversation with. If someone has caught your eye, but doesn’t match with what you’re looking for, swipe them left without hesitation!

Messages are delivered when one user marks another as “Favorite”. So the only way of being able to message someone is by adding them a favorite first. You can only be someone’s favorite if they have added you back.
You can unblock by tapping on the icon in the top left corner of your screen, press “More” (the icon that resembles an ellipsis), then tap on Settings and select “Blocked users” to see your list of blocked users. From there, simply swipe right across their name to unblock them!
Unfortunately, once deleted, profiles will no longer be visible within any other areas of the app. Please note that deleting a profile does not block messages or limit interactions with other profiles.
