Can you reactivate a deleted Kik account?

If you want to reactivate your Kik profile after deactivating, just sign back in as if nothing happened. You’ll need a password to do so. If you’ve lost access to your email account and would like a new password for your account, enter the email address associated with it below.

Short answer:
yes, you can. It’s not easy and it takes quite a bit of time, but most deleted Kik accounts are recoverable by de fauw (at the moment of writing this article).

Long answer: Yes, You Can… But it very much depends on your situation. In general, there are two types of people who ask themselves this question: 1) People who want to recover their account because they accidently deleted it and 2) People who regret having done that because they didn’t expect to be able to recover it so easily.

The first group is pretty straightforward: if you have accidently deleted your account while using Kik or during some sort of update without realizing what was going on, then you can most probably make it back to life. This is because all of your data are still stored in the database and everything is still there, just voila!

There are a few reasons why a user might want to reactivate their Kik account. This can be because of involuntary deletion, forgetting the password or having an inactive account for too long and not being able to log in anymore. In this article you will learn what options you have if you lost your password or deleted your Kik account by accident.

When it comes to deactivating and deleting Kik usernames there are two options that can be chosen. The first one is choosing permanent deletion, which basically removes all profile information from the platform but still leaves the username available for other users to take during signups. On the opposite side there is reversible deletion, where after quitting one’s account all content will be erased permanently except for the username which remains reserved but not available for others to use.

If you have been using the platform for a while, chances are that you already know the in’s and out’s of how it all works. In other cases it is advisable to make sure you don’t forget any profile information by taking a screenshot of everything or even copying your password somewhere so that you can reactivate your account in case something goes wrong. Before making any decisions about whether or not deleting an account was the right choice, there are some strategies users can try first.

When trying to recover their data, they should contact our customer support team with as much information as possible about their case along with their username and country where registered. This will them give anybody the possibility to recover their account if they were not aware of any deletion option.

This is a last resort when you really want to be safe by removing all traces from the platform, making it completely unrecoverable by anyone but yourself at a later time. To do so there are two steps you should follow: first you have to open your profile > tap “profile” > press “more actions” > select “delete”. Confirm and on the next screen enter your password in order to confirm or enter it again in case you make a mistake. This will remove everything related to your username but leave it reserved for other users while also blocking your IP address from accessing Kik again. In order for this procedure to work, one must not have used the same username on other platforms and must use a different email address.

This option is available only for those who deleted their account by accident or in some cases due to internet troubles that make it impossible to access the page. For this reason, you should create a new Kik profile with a new email address but using your old username that was recently deleted. When doing so, you will be able to recover all possible data regarding your previous session as if nothing had happened before deactivation.

If my account gets banned or suspended what are the chances of getting unbanned?

Asking about being unblocked is understandable given how frustrating it can be to get punished for something you consider to be a mistake or if you only wanted to help improve the Kik community. Unfortunately, there is no universal answer for this question as it depends on how drastic your violation was and what your previous history has been like.

The best way to find out whether or not this is possible is by reaching out to our customer service team via the email address listed in every message sent when we ban someone from using Kiks forever (or at least until they change their ways). Experienced agents will have an easier time understanding why the user was banned and should be more willing to take them back but depending on where they live it is also important for them not to break any laws while doing so.

There are plenty of cases where users have been able to get their account reinstated after being banned or if they simply want to try again, there are still more than enough non-spamming opportunities on the platform today. As long as a user has not violated Kik’s terms and conditions in any way since the ban and meets our new minimum age requirement of 13 years old regardless of location, he can start using Kiks again right away.

The second group is a bit more complicated as they deleted their account deliberately with intent not to have an account anymore. If you’re one of those people, then I must say that I don’t highly recommend trying to bring back your profile if you deleted it without any remorse. Once your profile is gone from Kik (and if the administrators have done their job right), it should stay gone for good and never come back unless somebody hacks into the system. There has been some small changes lately in order to prevent de fauw-like attacks and I’m not sure what they are exactly, but the risk is still higher than you might expect. The thing is that once you delete your account, the database removes all of its registered user data immediately. In other words, once your profile has been deleted, there isn’t any way to recover it via the normal system.

If you want to make a Kik comeback and try to reactivate an old account that has been deleted long ago with no remorse whatsoever then here’s how I would do it (I have already done something similar with my own deleted account):

A) First of all and most importantly: if you really want to be able to reactivate an old de fauw-deleted account, then you must not try to log into it until after your Kik account has been reactivated. This might sound pretty obvious, but I just want to make sure that you know about this crucial fact and don’t waste a lot of time trying to log into the old profile while the process is still in progress.

B) The next thing you need is another email address ( Gmail works fine ) and password from which you can register on Kik again. If you already have an active Kik user under a different email address than the one attached to your deleted account then use this new email address; otherwise, create a new free gmail or hotmail related account that won’t be linked with any other social media account.

C) After you have your new email address, register on Kik using the password of this email address. When asked for a mobile number, enter any valid number (preferably not your own if you want to make it back to life).

You should now be logged into an active Kik profile with all its goodies and usability intact. Now check if the old de fauw-deleted account is still there by trying to go to kikme.com/username . If so, then it’s reactivated and ready for use! Just click on “login” at the top right corner and login with your newly created username / password combination. Proceed as usual until you get to step 4. Then, instead of using your new email address and password, select the old one from before (as shown in the above screenshot). You should now be logged into your de fauw-deleted account as well! Congratulations!

D) The only thing that you need to do now is to log out and exit Kik normally so that it doesn’t detect that two user accounts are trying to use the same credentials at once. Then return back to kikme.com/username using the second valid email address / password combination for Kik that you have previously registered with. After logging in again, close all open tabs before proceeding onto Step F! If done correctly then you should still be logged into both profiles at the moment. Both profiles should now be able to login with the new credentials created by Step C and D.

E) Now it’s time for the last step: delete your newly created profile (step C) while keeping your old de fauw-deleted profile active at the same time (step D). This might sound confusing, but as long as you followed my instructions carefully then this will work like a charm. Follow this scenario until both accounts have been deleted successfully:

1) Log out of both Kik account (the one that is still alive and the one that has just been created in step C above). Leave all open website tabs behind so that everything remains unchanged during pause mode. Close all browser windows and reopen them again to make sure that you are logged out.

2) Log back in again with the new email address and password created in step C. This time, select “Delete Kik profile” as shown in the screenshot below. Then click on “Yes, I’m sure!” to confirm your decision:

3) Repeat Step 2 again but this time do it for the old de fauw-deleted account that is still active before step C was taken (step D). By now both accounts should have been deleted successfully (or at least they should be very close to being deleted). Both open tabs and browser windows must remain unchanged during this entire process so that you can quickly move on from one step to the next.

4) Now it’s time for the last step. Log back in again using the same username / password combination that has existed since step D (that is, for your old de fauw-deleted account). Both open tabs and browser windows must remain unchanged during this entire process so that you can quickly move on from one step to the next. Try going to kikme.com/username or any other page at all that will require login credentials; either type in a valid email address and password of your own or select an existing user name / password combination if possible.

What happens when you delete a Kik account?

Permanently deleting your Kik account will delete all of your chat data, and you won’t be able to register using the same username.

What happens when you permanently deactivate Kik?

Permanent deactivation means deleting your Kik account permanently. Once deleted, it cannot be restored. You will not receive messages or get emails from Kik ever again and your username will be erased from everyone’s contact list on the platform.
