How do I cancel deezer on my phone?

  1. Open Favorites.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Go to Manage my account.
  4. Select Manage my subscription.
  5. Select Cancel my subscription.
  6. Choose your reason for canceling.
  7. Select Confirm.
  8. A message confirming your cancelation will appear.

If you have an Apple product then its very easy to cancel your deezer subscription. Simply go into the App store and search for ‘Deezer’. There are two applications, one is the Deezer application which was installed automatically when you subscribed (you may not need this). The other is a small icon of ‘manage’ click on this. Under settings you will see the option to unsubscribe from Deezer. Click on it and follow instructions. This means that no more money will be taken out of your account by Deezer!

I can’t find my music anywhere!!

There are two ways in which we can help resolve this problem with finding music. Firstly, if you have access to a computer and Internet then you can log onto the Deezer help web page. On this page you need to go to ‘my account’. You may be asked for your login details, if so type these in and press enter. Then click on ‘music content’ from the left hand side (I doubt it’ll be anything else!). Scroll down until you see a button labelled ‘missing music files’, click on this, it should show an option to refresh the site’s database. This means that any missing files will appear without having to re-download everything again!

If you don’t have access to a computer or Internet then please email me with as much information as possible including: what phone/tablet you’re using; OS version/name and type; memory size (if you have one); which country/area you are in and what problem with music playback is. I will then try to get back to you as quickly as possible, depending on the situation of course!

Sometimes when I am watching a video or listening to an album my phone freezes. The only way to end it is by turning off my phone. Why?

This can be because your internet connection has dropped. This happens quite often especially if you are using public wifi so every time this happens just reload Deezer and keep going! Don’t forget that we’re always improving our software so expect an update soon that should help resolve it, although unlikely at this point of time! If not then it is likely that the app has crashed. If this happens then don’t worry, simply reload Deezer and go back to whatever you were listening to!

I’ve heard rumours about Deezer having a mobile player that’s better than the apps for iOS devices…is it true?

Yes! We have been working really hard on improving our Android Player software which will soon be available from Google Play Store. You should notice better battery life and an entirely revamped design. This update isn’t due out until July so keep your eyes peeled for it!

How do I remove tracks from my playlist?

This question reminds me of one of those crazy American game shows where they offer contestants thousands of pounds if they can answer a very stupid question. It is as simple as 1, 2…3!

1) Open the playlist you want to remove music from (more than one if required). Or go to ‘my playlists’ and tap on the playlist you want to edit.

2) Then click on the three dots in top right corner of screen.

3) Select ‘Remove songs’. This will then prompt you with a list of all the tracks that are going to be removed. If you were just testing or accidentally clicked this button then don’t worry! Just cancel it at this point by tapping again on those 3 dots like step 2 above.

Why does Deezer keep switching my phone off?

Deezers battery saving mode is something we are looking to improve on in the near future so it doesn’t switch off your phone. But some phones may be incompatible with this feature and need a software update or you can change your settings so that Deezer does not use this option (connection type).

I have my language set to Spanish but I still see English! Why?

The player will show English if there is no official translation for your native language. This happens because we want our app to be seen globally by everyone, therefore people are more likely to download it if they know what it’s all about from the very start. It also means that music artists get their work exposed to new audiences. So don’t worry! You do not need to set your language to English to use the app!

You can, however, change this setting in the settings menu as well as many other useful options. The ‘Language’ option is found under ‘General Settings>Language’. Please remember that these are for those international users who want Deezer in their native language rather than a translation of our English version.

How do I use the Deezer on my TV (Wega)?

If you don’t already have it installed, download the latest version of Deezer from your app store and follow the instructions below.

1) Connect your IPTV set-top box to a WIFI connection and launch Deezer; or press ‘deezer’ on your remote control.

2) Select ‘Easy Setup’ then ‘Welcome’. You will see 2 buttons at the bottom of the screen, wait until they appear in green before pressing them. If this does not happen straight away just press OK until they turn green.

3) The first button should say “Quick setup”, press this now and search for the Deezer icon in your apps menu.

4) Follow the instructions on the screen to install Deezer and use it regularly! You can continue using this feature to update Deezer when we push out new updates for you. So be sure to keep an eye out for them!

I’m listening to a song but when I go back 10 minutes it starts from the beginning. Why?

Deezer tracks are automatically time-shifted 15 seconds before they start playing so that our users can choose where in the track they want to start listening if they wish, or skip forwards without having to move fast forward or rewind buttons (depending on device). This means that if you arrive late at a point in a song, for example, you can skip forward to where it’s actually starting. It also helps as an anti-piracy measure.

If you want to remove this from your music then please go into playlists>MY PLAYLISTS>PROFILE and uncheck the box ‘Automatic time shift’.

My favourite song is missing! How do I get it back?

There are two reasons why a track might have disappeared, either:

You deleted it by accident or Someone has taken it off Deezer’s database (the official one we use). If that is the case there isn’t anything anyone on our end can do about it. We don’t know who did take it down so if you find it and know the track name then please message us on Facebook or Twitter. We will do our best to put it back!

I’m having trouble connecting Deezer to my TV, any tips?

We have been asked this question more times than we can count so here are some handy steps that you should follow if you ever struggle with using Deezer through your TV set.

1) Check that your TV has Bluetooth capability, most modern Smart TVs will have all the technology needed for a successful connection but older models might need an adapter first.

2) Make sure your headphones are connected or non-existent; if there’s no sign of life from them then check out your volume control options in case they’re turned off.

3) Make sure you have the correct input turned on for your Bluetooth device; if it’s not a Bluetooth option then check your TV manual to see how you can activate it.

I’m having trouble using Deezer through my speakers, any tips?

There are two main reasons why there could be trouble in speaker land:

1) If your phone is connected via an older version of Android make sure that you’re running at least Android 5 or higher as these operating systems will support the required technology (Low Energy). Without this, certain features such as use with Bluetooth won’t work properly. Check out here for more details on finding out what version of Android you have and where to download updates if you need to.

2) If you’ve only recently purchased a new Bluetooth speaker then it may not have been paired correctly with your phone or tablet yet. Check the instructions that came in the box and make sure everything is synced up as it should be.
