Tinder is not worried about that though… They’re going to do it anyway. And they probably won’t tell us until a week before it happens either, because least resistance, right? Right now tinder has three choices:

And don’t think they won’t try option 3 because there are already companies out there doing it , including tinder themselves…
No seriously, read they’re fine print. They can view your message history, even if you opt-out of the service! And this is something that tinder will be doing for the free version too.
The only way to avoid all of this is by making sure we ALL cancel our Tinder Gold Subscription before they launch it.
We’re asking for people who have already paid $5 to their subscription to send us proof in a few different ways: 1) Take a picture of your bank account showing that it was recently charged and email it. 2) Send us a screenshot of your phone with the alert from PayPal showing you had just been charged (the charge has to at least say “from Tinder” or else we won’t believe it). 3) Send us a screenshot of your phone with your Tinder Gold subscription and the date you paid for it.
Tap on your name at the top of the Settings page, scroll down to subscriptions, and tap on your Tinder Gold subscription. Select “Cancel Subscription“
You can use your remaining subscription days during the cancellation period for international travel. Unless a refund has been agreed upon, payment cannot be prorated. Once you do cancel your international travel trip Tinder subscription, you’ll be able to use it for the remaining days paid on your account. If there is no refund agreed upon and payment was not prorated based on the cancellation date, you can’t access any money previously paid for this specific subscription.
