Download your data after canceling your Gmail service. After that, go to your Google Account and download your data. Click Data & privacy on the left-hand menu. Select “Data from apps and services you use.” Click Delete a Google Service under Download or delete your data. Under Delete a Google Service, click Remove next to Gmail.
Sign in to the account you’d like to delete. To do so, go to MyAccount.Google.com and click “Delete your account or services.” Select “Delete Google Account and data” from the drop-down menu.
Go to the Delete a service or your account page. Select Delete a service from the drop-down menu. You may need to sign in to your account again. Click Delete next to Gmail (trash icon). Follow the on-screen directions.
To deactivate an account on your computer, click the blue sign in button in the upper right corner.
