How To Delete Email Accounts On The iPhone or iPad
An EASY Trick to CLEAN Your E-Mail Inbox – Apple Mail
If your email account is a business email address, you may have a profile on your iPhone. To remove this profile, go to Settings > General > Profile and select Remove Profile.
When you delete an email account from an iPhone, it doesn’t really delete the account. When you remove an email account from an iPhone, the email account and address stay exactly as they were. You can still receive and send emails using the web or other email programs that have been configured to use the deleted email account.
This is a difficult question to answer, as it depends on the email service you are using. If you have an email account with Gmail, then deleting an email from your inbox will not delete it from your other devices. The only way to delete an email from all of your devices would be to use the “Trash” function.
The best way to do this is to delete your email account and create a new one. This way, the emails you want to keep will be in your inbox and all of the old emails will be deleted.
Tap the Settings icon on your phone.
Select “Accounts” from the menu.
Scroll down to find the account you want to remove and select it.
Press “Delete Account.
