How do I delete a payment method on yelp?

To delete your account, go to the “Account Settings” section of your account and click the “trash” can icon.

The payment method is only used for reservations. You can delete the payment method directly from the user’s profile page or you can do it automatically through a batch edit.

Steps:1. Go to User Settings > Payments and select “Payment Methods” in the left panel.

2. Click on “Edit Payment Method” next to the user who will be deleting their payment methods, then click on Delete Payment Method at bottom of page (see image below). After that, Yelp will prompt you to confirm that you’d like to remove the selected payment methods from this account (see screenshot below). Please note that once deletion is complete, there is no way to retrieve this data during the same session; if you are not going to use the payment methods anymore, please click “Yes, remove” accordingly.

Please note that once deletion is complete, there is no way to retrieve this data during the same session; if you are certain that you’d like to remove this payment method from this account, please click on Delete. If you’ve accidentally deleted it or would like to restore it later, please contact your Client Success Manager directly via Help Center and let us know so we can assist you in deleting it again.

4. Once deletion is complete, Yelp will show a success page with the following message: Thanks for letting us know! You have been successfully removed from receiving payments through this payment method.

Note: After you delete a payment method on Yelp, user will still have access to the deleted payment methods in their profiles. However, if the users want to re-add them, they can do it by creating a new one or adding them manually through troubleshooting steps at http://www.yelp-support.com/entries/20981737-how-do-i-manually-add-or-remove-a-payment -method. What is & How do I set a default payment method for my Yelp account?

A default payment method is the one selected as the Default Payment Method of your Yelp business.

You can assign any active valid non-gift card payment methods as your Default Payment Method on yelp.com (please see below for steps). Note: If you have only one or two active and valid payments, there is no need to set it as the default since you will be able to pay with them directly. Please follow these steps to enable/disable a default payment method:

As a reminder, by setting a particular payment method as your Default Payment Method on Yelp, it means that this specific payment type will be automatically selected for all future reservations with Auto-Accept enabled. Please make sure this is what you want before proceeding!

Note: If you’d like to change your default payment method again at any time, please follow steps 1 and 2 above and simply choose another valid payment method instead of selecting the same one again. Or if there are no other active valid payment methods, please contact your Client Success Manager for more information.

If you’d like to add a new payment method as an alternate default payment method, you can follow these steps:

4. On the following page, click Add Payment Method at the bottom of page if there are no other valid payments on your Yelp account or skip this step if there is more than one active payment on your account:

What is Auto-Accept?

Auto-Accept allows your Yelp Reservations business to automatically accept reservations online from your customers 24/7. This feature can be activated in the Yelp Reservations settings page on yelp.com once all of your payment methods are set up and active (see above). Please note that if you have more than one active and valid non-gift card payment method, they will both need to be marked as “active” for auto-acceptance to work properly.

How do I enable Auto-Accept?

Steps:1. Navigate to yelp.com > Business Info > Settings > Payments at the top2. Click Edit next to Payment Method for repeat payments (see image below):

How do I remove Auto-Accept?

Steps:1. Navigate to yelp.com > Business Info > Settings > Payments at the top2. Under “Auto-acceptance”, click Edit next to Payment Method for repeat payments and then click Remove (see screenshot below):3. Confirm removal by clicking Remove again in the Popup Window that appears, followed by Confirm & Save (please see screenshot below):4. Close out of this payment settings window by clicking Close in the top right corner once done.

Note: After auto-acceptance is removed, you’ll need to go back into your settings page and re-enable auto-acceptance for this specific payment method if you want to have it enabled.
