Customizing the URL on your Wix Site
How to Change Website Name in Wix! (Full Guide 2020)
If you don’t want your site to appear in Google search results but do not want it to be accessible to people with a direct link, you can make it invisible to search engines. To post your site for others to see and explore, simply go into the Editor.
Click the Show More button. Settings is the place to go. The Permissions page is where you’ll find lots of information on who can do what with your site and when they’re allowed to access it. This option is for everyone unless otherwise specified (for example, if there are children who shouldn’t be able to view sensitive material).
Your site is immediately accessible to the public when it has been published, and anyone who visits your site’s URL or domain name will be able to see it!
To go to the Settings page, go to your profile and click Account. Select a new username and password if you are prompted to do so. Click the Edit icon next on the Page URL column of your account’s profile page if it has already been published. Confirm that a redirect will be created from the old URL to the new one by clicking Update in the dialog box. To change your page’s domain, select it from the drop-down menu under Domain.
You may modify your site at any moment, even after it has been published! This allows you to make modifications to your website at any time and then publish them. Simply update the information and click Publish again on the top bar to re-publish your site. You will immediately see the changes on your live site.
To register your Wix domain privately, you must renew it for at least one additional year. If you pick the Private Registration option, you can always switch it off for a period of time (e.g., if you wish to sell the domain).
