iPhone: How To Delete An Email Account
If the email account is a corporate email address, there may be a profile on your iPhone. To delete this profile, go to Settings > General > Profile and then Remove Profile.
Remove the “Remove” option. From the Home screen, go to Settings > Accounts and Passwords. Tap Delete Account > Remove from My iPhone.
Deleted an Email Account from the iPhone Does Not Delete the Account. When you delete an email account from an iPhone, the same remains for your address and email account. You can still access and send emails using the web or other email applications that have been configured to use the mail account.
To “hard delete” an email, hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the Delete button or hitting the Delete button on your keyboard. This message will now skip the Deleted Items folder and be permanently destroyed instead of remaining in your Trash.
Tap the Settings icon. Select Mail, then Accounts and press OK. Tap Delete Account under Accounts in the dialog that appears. You may also use this option to delete your email account from your iPhone: Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and select the email account you wish to remove. Delete it by selecting Remove From My iPhone at the bottom of the screen.
Open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap Edit from the upper right corner to begin editing. Select All is in the upper left (or select specific emails). Then, tap Trash followed by Trash All.
