Microsoft Outlook 2016 Emails: Deleting Email Messages
How to Delete Multiple Emails in Outlook
To choose a message, click it. Then press CTRL + A to select all of the messages in the folder. To delete them, press the Delete key. Scroll through your emails to find the last one you want to remove and then hold down Shift while clicking it. Hold down Shift while pressing Delete to remove them all at once. Hold down Shift while selecting the final email to deselect it.
Delete individual messages by selecting them and pressing Delete on your keyboard. To select multiple emails, press Ctrl+A to select all at once. Navigate to the folder where you’d like to erase the communications (e.g., Inbox). Highlight the first email you wish to remove with your cursor. Hold down the Shift key while clicking on the selected emails. Select Remove from the drop-down menu that appears when you right-click on one of the messages. All highlighted emails will be removed simultaneously as a result of this action.
You can quickly delete multiple emails from a folder while still keeping your unread or essential emails for later. To select and remove consecutive emails in the message list, press and hold the Shift key while clicking each email.
If you are unable to remove emails from a specific Outlook folder (not just particular emails), it’s possible that the folder is locked because it is being used by a 3rd-party program (for example, an anti-virus software scan). Restarting Windows should resolve the problem.
That’s just how it is. If a computer has already deleted an email on the server, your phone won’t be able to retrieve it. It’s not difficult to remove emails from Gmail’s server. The inbox displays the same messages whether you access your Gmail account via your smartphone or a computer.
It’s simple to remove all of your Gmail messages: Start by logging into Gmail and clicking the inbox option you wish to clear out (Primary, Promotions, etc.) in the top left corner. Simply click the small empty box in the upper left corner, just above the Compose button.
