- Click on the gear icon at the top.
- Under Your Company section, select Chart of Accounts (COA).
- Look for the account that you want to delete.
- In the Action column, choose the drop-down then click Delete.
- Click Yes when asked if you want to delete.

Select Lists in the top menu. Select Chart of Accounts and then Account List to display your chart of accounts. Select the account you wish to move with the left mouse button, then hold it and drag it to the new location.
Go to your QuickBooks Online account and log in. Change the URL to include /purgecompany. The following screen will show a quick overview of the items that will be erased. After data is removed, type YES and click OK. When you’re done making your selections, click Wipe Data to begin erasing the data.
