How to Sign Up for Informed Delivery®
Hey, It’s me again. I’m back to tell you about another neat service that can help make your life easier. This time it’s an app called Informed Delivery by the U.S. Postal Service!
This is a great way to get notifications when mail items are being delivered to your address, so you don’t have to wait all day long just for the postman or woman to show up! There are many features of this app that will be useful for everyone from big business owners and home-based entrepreneurs who want peace of mind over deliveries made at their addresses, all the way down to individuals with PO boxes who need assurance they’ll know what was sent without waiting around for hours on end every day.
How It Works
Like other services, you’ll need to first visit the website (in this case www.USPS.com ) and create an account based on your physical address; if you don’t already have an account, here is where you can sign up for one. Once that’s done, go to the app store of your Apple or Android device (depending on which device(s) you own) and download the free app for your mobile platform; again, either iOS or/and Android. After installing it onto your smart device(s), open it up and sign in using your email address and password for USPS. You’ll then be taken to the home screen of the app after linking to your profile. From there, you can see what items are coming to your address that day.
NOTE: The USPS Informed Delivery app is not available on the Windows 10 App store as of this writing (7/21/18). It’s only accessible to iOS and Android users, so if you want notifications of incoming mail at your address you need to use either an iPad or iPhone for now.
On the welcome kit you received in the mail, look for your Unsubscribe Code. Your Unsubscribe Code may be found on the letter you received in the mail. Please pick an option for unsubscribing from Informed Delivery when prompted.
After 24 hours, USPS online accounts automatically unlock. If you remember your account’s current password, it may be used just as usual after it is unlocked. If you can’t recall the password to your account, go to usps.com and locate the “Forgot Password” link in the login section.
You have two options: Option 1: ‘Deactivate my account’ Your account will be canceled, but your data will stay in our system for 30 days…. Option 2: ‘Delete my account’ … After you’ve finished using it.,
Customers who have more than one address can now benefit from Informed Delivery, which has been enhanced to better serve those with numerous addresses. Customers may now combine a primary residential address and a secondary PO Box destination under the same Informed Delivery account thanks to the new improvements.
“Informed Delivery” adheres to federal privacy regulations. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Postal Service’s sole security function, protects the mail from theft and espionage by ensuring that it is delivered safely and securely.”
Is Informed Delivery as Reliable as You Think? The fact is, informed delivery is frequently 1-2 days delayed, and no image appears for every item that is scanned. Nonetheless, its accuracy may be rated at more than 95 percent.
Simply send an email to [email protected] and ask them to delete your account. The subject of the email should be something important, such as “request for account deletion,” and you should include the necessary information in the body of the message. Subject: Request for Account Deletion

By the time you’re reading this, all of your stimulus checks should have arrived at their destination. The USPS just launched access to its tool called Informed Delivery, which is now in time to track your stimulus check. When the post office scans a letter addressed to you, it photographs it. If you use Informed Delivery, you can see when your stimulus payment will arrive by signing up for the service.
It is not illegal to use a different mailing address on your tax return. In fact, many customers have chosen to include their accounting firm’s mailing address on their tax forms (with the “care of” designation). A PO box address is also acceptable.
