There are two ways to change the expense account. The first is to open up the company file and go to File, then click on Quickbooks Accountant, then click on Edit Company Information. From there you can select the expense account that you would like to change. The second way is to open up your company file and go to Reports, then click on Transactions by Date. Then you can find the transaction in question and change it from there.
You can’t change an expense in QuickBooks Online. The only way to do so would be to delete the transaction and re-enter it.
The best way to edit your QuickBooks entries is to create a new transaction in the correct journal. If you want to edit an existing transaction, you can do so by using the “Edit Transaction” button in QuickBooks.
You can edit an expense category in QuickBooks by going to the Edit menu and selecting Edit Categories.
In order to change an expense to income in QuickBooks, you need to enter the amount of the expense as income on the appropriate line.
You can rename an account in your Chart of Accounts by following these steps:
-Open the Chart of Accounts window.
-Click on the account that you want to rename.
-In the Account Details section, click on “Rename.”
-Type in the new name for the account and click “Save.
