How do I recover a deleted Google Authenticator?

There is no way to recover a deleted Google Authenticator app. If you have lost your phone or otherwise can no longer access your Google Authenticator app, you will need to create a new account and set up two-factor authentication again.

If you’ve deleted your authenticator code, unfortunately, there is no way to recover it. You’ll need to create a new one.

If you have Google Authenticator installed on your phone and you accidentally delete it, don’t worry. You can reinstall Google Authenticator without losing any of your data. All of your 2-factor authentication codes will still work, and you won’t have to re-add any accounts or devices.
To reinstall Google Authenticator, go to the App Store (or Google Play Store) and search for “Google Authenticator.” Once you’ve found it, tap “Install” and follow the on-screen instructions. After Google Authenticator is installed, open it up and scan the QR code or enter the 16-digit key provided by your account’s 2-factor authentication provider.

If you have lost your Google Authenticator, or if you want to move it to a new phone, you can follow these steps:
Open the Google Authenticator app.
Tap the menu in the top left corner of the screen.
Tap “Settings”.
Tap “Backup codes”.
Write down the 10 backup codes that appear onscreen.

If you lose your phone with two factor authentication, you can still log in to your account by using the backup codes that were provided when you set up two factor authentication.

If you’ve lost your Google Authenticator key, or just can’t find it, don’t worry! You can easily generate a new one. Just open the Google Authenticator app on your phone and select “Settings.” Then, tap on “Reset Account.” This will generate a new key for you to use.

If you have lost your two factor authentication (2FA) code, you can restore it using your backup code.
