- Open Settings.
- Tap on your Apple ID card at the top.
- Select on Name, Phone Numbers, Email.
- Choose Edit. Tap on the red mark next to your old email to delete it.
- Choose to Continue on the window that pops up.
- Enter the email address you’d like to use instead.

Sign in to your Apple Account account page. Click Edit in the Account section. Select one of your additional email addresses and click Next.
If your old address was linked with your existing ID, there should be no issue since you will not need to validate the account. However, if it wasn’t previously linked to your current ID, you’ll have to contact Apple for help resetting the password as previously stated.
I’m sorry to hear that you are unable to remove one of your iPhone’s email accounts. If the email account is a business account, it may have a profile on your phone. To get rid of the profile, go to Settings > General > Profile and then Delete Profile.
Go to appleid.apple.com and log in. In the Account area, choose Edit. Choose Change Apple ID from the menu that appears. Enter the email address you wish to use.
Log in to Apple’s Data and Privacy website using your Apple ID. Select a reason for deletion from the dropdown menu, then click Continue on the new screen.
You can update your Apple ID address on iOS without access to the original email by using the same technique for doing so on iTunes. Fortunately, you can still log into your Apple ID account at appleid.apple.com as long as you can still login to it, thus updating the Apple ID login to that new address.
