How to scan and remove Virus by Malwarebytes
Use Malwarebytes for Windows Quarantine: How-to (2018)
Click Navigation on the upper-right corner of the Home Page to view the main menu. Click Quarantined and Trusted Items under Features to see a list of quarantined threats. Select the item you wish to delete from the list, then click Delete.
MalwareBytes offers the option to remove files from your computer entirely. Files that have been detected as dangerous and placed in the MalwareBytes quarantine can be safely removed since they are no longer a risk to your PC. Quarantined data remains on the system, however, and it continues to use up disk space.
A quarantine location is set on your endpoints: Windows endpoints: C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\Quarantine. Mac endpoints: /Library/Application Support/Malwarebytes/NCEP/Quarantine/ Linux endpoints: /var/lib/mblinux/quarantine.
It isn’t deleted. Because it is in quarantine, the file does not have the ability to infect your computer. It’s secure. If the file can be fixed and the infection eradicated, it may be removed from quarantine and used again.
If you wish to remove the files from your quarantine folder manually, go to the “My Computer” menu on your Windows OS and select it. Select “Delete” from the drop-down menu.
Some files may be labeled as dangers when Malwarebytes for Windows runs on-demand or on a schedule. These files are erased from the disk location where they were quarantined, hence they can no longer harm your computer.
