How to REPORT fake account in INSTAGRAM
It’s important to remember that your account is completely anonymous unless you’re reporting an IP infringement. The person you reported will not be able to see who reported them.
The reality is that Instagram may remove an account if it receives three or four complaints from various users because to the reason given for reporting the account. The only impact a large number of reports have is to speed up the process of reviewing the claims.
Go to the profile of the fraudulent account. If you can’t discover it, search for the name on the profile or ask your friends if they know how to get a link to it. Select Find Support or Report Profile from the drop-down menu below the cover photo. To report a fake account, follow the instructions onscreen.
When you report a photo, the person you’re reporting against has no way of knowing it was you who reported against them. You remain nameless. Instagram only verifies whether the image is inappropriate after receiving your “report.” If it’s true, they’ll delete it.
Unfortunately, we can’t just report everyone on Instagram who irritates us and expect them to take action. Posting unsolicited ads: Reporting an account as spam is similar to the first choice, in that it will restrict the account and possibly lead Instagram to investigate the user’s activity.
Instagram will then review the decision, which may take anywhere from 24 hours to several days (as seen on the screenshots).
