- On your computer
- Go to Hangouts at hangouts.google.com or in Gmail.
- Select a conversation.
- At the top of the conversation window, click Settings .
- Select Delete conversation.
- If you’re sure you want to delete your conversation, click Delete.

How to hangout conversation delete
Unfortunately, you can’t remove discussions on both ends. This means if one is deleted, the other individuals will still be able to access it. There is no option to erase messages from someone else’s phone or device. Also, keep in mind that Hangouts doesn’t support deleting individual messages.
In the Hangouts Chat window, type https://chat.google.com into the browser bar and press enter, or click this link to launch Hangouts Chat. Open the chat with the selected contact. Click on the message to view it. Delete may be accessed by clicking on Remove next to Save Conversation.
Messaging stored in the Vault Chat application has a 30-day retention period, with messages saved for 30 days after deletion. Messages persist in the Vault throughout that time.
Delete conversations in Google Chat by following these steps: Select the chat you wish to delete and click the kebab menu icon (three vertical dots), then choose “Delete Conversation.” You’ll get a confirmation screen if you want to remove your own message. To permanently erase your message from Google Chat, select “Delete.”
The other person will still be able to see your message. You’ll receive a notice that someone you’ve banned is also in the Hangout, and if you want to join the Hangout, you’ll be able to see their messages. Other people in the gathering won’t be informed that you’ve banned this individual.
In the Android program, in a discussion, click on the three dots, then People, and so on until you reach the three-dots option. Delete it.
