If you have an iPhone, iPad or MacBook, chances are that you have created an Apple ID at some point. Unfortunately Apple does not allow you to delete your account without first deactivating it.
This is a simple question but unfortunately, it has some issues, in this article we will try and answer the above question with a lot of information.
It’s next to impossible for an individual or company to really delete an apple account. When you start using apple products, your device gets registered through a Apple ID which is linked directly to multiple Apple services like iCloud, App store etc…And when one deletes his/her apple id from their devices they are automatically signed out from all these services as well. To completely get rid of your Apple account you need to contact the nearest Apple support center (i.e by calling them on this number: 1-800-MY-APPLE) and give them proof that you don’t want to use apple products and services anymore. When you call them they will ask for some documents which prove your ownership of the email address (and not someone else who can easily gain control over it) like a copy of a Credit card statement showing that the same credit card was used when purchasing the apple product, your driving license etc…
Important Notes:
*You should have all your devices registered with this Apple ID in order to completely delete it because if one device is left registered using an Apple account then you won’t be able to delete that account.
*Deleting an Apple ID doesn’t mean deleting everything related to that account from their servers i.e Your App store content, iTunes purchases, iCloud data etc..
*In the rare case when someone manages to completely delete their account, all his/her app store purchases are removed from the apple servers but still remain in your iTunes library and can be synced back again on any device using that Apple account.
How to delete a single Apple ID?
You can only delete an individual Apple ID (i.e Not your main one), by following these steps:
1-Open iTunes application > Click on the drop down menu at the top right corner of the screen > select Account > Sign out option.
2-Open App store and sign out from there as well under settings> Set up my iPhone or iPad > Tap on “sign out” button > To sign back in type your Apple ID and password > Sign in.
