Outlook 2016 and newer no longer support add-ins. Outlook 2013 and earlier still support add-ins, but they are not as prevalent as they once were. There are a few reasons for this:
1) Add-ins are no longer as prevalent as they once were. They’re not as widely used and many people have switched to using Office 365 or other email platforms.
2) The way that add-ins work has changed over the years.

To enable an add-on that is disabled, open the Add-ons Manager by clicking on the three lines in the top left corner of Firefox’s main window, or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+A (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+A (Mac). If the add-on is not enabled, it will be greyed out and you won’t be able to enable it. In the Add-ons Manager, click on the “Enabled” column to change its color to green.
