How do you know if someone has deleted your number?
“The only way to tell if someone you know is on Tinder is if you see their profile by accident,” a Tinder spokesperson explains. In the last 24 hours, swiping right or left, chatting, refreshing the profile – whatever you want to call it – has proven that a user was “Recently Active” on the app.
If you’re matched with someone on Tinder, you’ll only be able to look for them. To search for someone among your match list, tap the message bubble symbol on the main screen > drag down until a search bar appears > input that person’s name in the search bar.
On your phone or computer, open Tinder. You won’t need to sign in because it’s not necessary. Enter either their phone number or email address into the “forgotten password” box. If there is a yes/no response from their system, then you’re good to go!
