Why did my mixer account get banned?

Answer

Your account is suspended because your stream content violated a rule. As you’re an active user of Zendesk, we are happy to offer you support via email for assistance with any issue related to your account’s suspension, but threatening or arguing with staff will not help in resolving the situation.

Logged in to your Mixer account? If you are banned, we will likely have sent an email that explains why. Please check your spam and mails for this message.

If you can’t find it or don’t receive one within a day of getting banned, send our support team an email from the same address used to sign up with us. It’s important to note: we may not respond instantly as we receive a high volume of emails every day! Don’t worry though, the response time is usually between 24h – 48h.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have proof that you own or had access to the mixer account in question (it’s required for appeals). Otherwise there is no point in contacting our support team.

How long will I get banned?

Limits vary depending on the infraction, but the typical term is between 7 days and 3 months. If we decide to make it permanent, you’ll receive an email from our support team before the ban goes into effect. You also have the right to dispute a mixer account ban within 30 days of receiving it!

I had no intent to do anything against your rules! What can I do?

We understand that there are sometimes technical issues with fake streaming or viewers being attributed to your username. Please read carefully about the Streaming Guidelines below and if you identify with any of them, please contact us: [email protected] . Before you send your email though, please make sure that you have proof of who you are and what was going on at the time.

No matter what, make sure you send it to [email protected] .

IMPORTANT: We reserve the right to not answer emails that don’t include evidence or are sent from a secondary email address.

Mixer API Limitations?

If your suspension was related to API calls or our internal usage tracking systems, there’s a good chance we may have sent you an email with more information about it already. If not, something like “API Abuse” may indicate this is why your account got banned. Please contact us if you need further clarification about how our system found you in violation of our terms and conditions!

Did I get hacked/phished?

We recently saw an increase of mixers getting hacked and watched someone else’s stream – causing them to get banned. In general, if you think your account may have been compromised by phishing or another malicious source, please contact us: [email protected] .

What are the Mixer Streaming Guidelines?

Since resources are limited on our end, we want to provide as much value for all of our viewers as possible. Get a better understanding of what it takes to broadcast on mixer here: Streamer Guidelines

NOTE: If you’re streaming gameplay from any other service or website, make sure it follows their community guidelines too! We take this very seriously and will continue to pursue legal action against those who violate this Copyright Policy.
