The exclamation mark on your photos in Lightroom means that the photo has been edited.
There are a few reasons why your folders may not be appearing in Lightroom. The first thing to check is that the folders are actually saved in your Lightroom catalog. To do this, open the Catalog panel and make sure that the Folders checkbox is checked. If the folders are not appearing in Lightroom, it’s possible that they were moved, renamed, or deleted outside of Lightroom. In this case, you can use the Find function to locate them.
To reconnect a folder in Lightroom, first open the folder in the Library module. Then, go to the Folders panel and select the reconnect button (it looks like a folder with a green plus sign). Lightroom will then scan your computer for any new folders that have been added since the last time you synchronized your catalog with your files.
If you receive the “Lightroom catalog is too new” error message, it means that the catalog file is too new and hasn’t been properly updated yet. To fix this, close Lightroom and then rename the “Lightroom” folder in your Pictures folder. When you reopen Lightroom, it will create a new, updated catalog.
Missing photos in Lightroom can be fixed by rebuilding the catalog. To rebuild the catalog, go to File>Rebuild Catalog.
