How do I delete my Mint account

To remove an account from Mint, go to the Settings page and select “Accounts”. If you want to stop getting updates on a particular account, just click the grey “Dropped” button. Otherwise, you’ll be asked for your Mint credentials before verifying that you really are the owner of the bank accounts you’re trying to add in Mint.

If you’re trying to remove your bank account from Mint because it’s being used as a login for other accounts, check out this FAQ entry on how to disconnect specific services first before removing the card entirely from your Mint account: http://bit.ly/1sUgQXO

Your financial institution isn’t supported by Mint. At this time, we support over 20 different US banks for importing transaction data. If you can’t find your financial institution listed in our Supported Banks list then unfortunately it’s not currently supported by our system.

If you’re still having trouble updating your bank info from within your account settings, please contact us directly at [email protected] with a few details about your situation and we’ll do our best to help.

Mint accepts two formats of ABA routing numbers: “12100055”, which is the standard version, and “5000001”, which you’d use if your bank supports it. If your financial institution has updated their routing information since adding your account into Mint, please contact them directly so they can update their records with us, or log in to your account here on mint.com and click on Settings -> Accounts and remove the card from within Mint before re-adding it again later using either of these formats.

If none of those options work or you’re still having trouble updating your bank account, then please contact us at [email protected] with a few details about your situation and we’ll do our best to help!

How to delete a mint account

Because Mint imports payments data in encrypted form through 3rd party services such as Yodlee, we are unable to remove an existing connection to a financial institution after it has been added to your Mint profile. However, in order for this information to appear on your transaction page within Mint, you must keep the same username and password that you used when adding the connection with us previously.

You can see that you’re using the same username and password when adding your bank account into Mint by checking on our Supported Banks list. If it’s listed there then it means we have a connection with your financial institution and thus you will be able to see updates from them within your Mint profile.

If that’s not the case, please contact us at [email protected] with a few details about your situation, including which financial institutions are connected to your Mint account, as well as what connections you made directly with those financial institutions and under what username/password combination so we can resolve this issue for you!
